My name is Dianne Sinning Buckerfield and I live in Michigan, with my
husband, Jack. We have one married daughter, and three beautiful grandchildren.
Jack and I were born in Michigan, but our ancestors come from England,
Scotland, Germany, Poland and I’m still looking for other places!
I’ve been searching for my roots, off and on, for about fifteen
years. I also love doing heritage scrapbooking. It gives me a way to get
all those cherished old photographs out of the boxes and display them
in albums, and also write down all the stories that myself and family
members remember, so we can pass them down to our descendents. I write
a heritage scrapbooking column for Michigan
Scrapbooker magazine, teach heritage scrapbooking classes and spend
a lot of time searching for “dead” people! I’m also
a member of the Macomb
County Genealogy Group and our meetings are held at the Mt.
Clemens Public Library. If you live in the area, please stop by! The
Mt. Clemens
Library has a Local History Room with a tremendous amount of information
for the tri county area, along with genealogy info that’s not local.
Some of the surnames I am researching are Sinning, Buckerfield, Hunsdon,
Pickles/Pickells/Pickell, Lunnis, Hick, Brittain, Doughty, Rickert/Richert,
Menzies, Knitter, Sparks, Wright, Berry, Winters, Elder, Patton.
If you think we may have an ancestor in common, please contact me. I
would love to hear from you!
